This Unit, which arises within the framework of the Dementia Plan of the Ministry of Health, aims at highly complex diagnostic evaluation and intervention for the person with dementia and their caregiver. It convenes medical and non-medical professionals from the University of Chile and the Hospital del Salvador and will also dedicate part of its work to research on aging and the training of professionals in the treatment of this type of pathology, including Alzheimer’s.
