Rolando de la Cruz
Rolando has a degree in Physics and Mathematics from the National University of Trujillo, Peru. He obtained his Master’s and Doctorate in Statistics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile in 2005. Since 2018 he is a regular professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences and a researcher at the Smart Center of the Adolfo Ibáñez University. He is also Academic Director of the Master in Data Science (MDS) and teaches classes related to data analysis for Civil Engineering, Commercial Engineering and postgraduate programs: MDS, MMS, MACH, and Executive MBA. His research focuses on the development of methodologies for data analysis. He has more than 30 scientific articles published in ISI journals. He is currently associate editor of the ISI journal Statistical Modeling and evaluator of the FONIS and FONDECYT programs, for the National Security Agency Mathematical Sciences Program, USA, and is a peer evaluator of the CNA for postgraduate programs. In addition, he provides advice on Business Analytics, Big Data, Data Science and Machine Learning. He served as a professor and researcher at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso.
