The applications of artificial intelligence (AI) are clearly growing, from text development applications to its use in medicine. In an article in the journal eBiomedicine, part of The Lancet Discovery Science, with the participation of our researcher Agustín Ibáñez, its usefulness was sought in the detection of modifications generated in the brain as a result of some types of dementia in images. The study yielded solid results in the determination of different types of dementia, with projections to improve its diagnosis, classification and study, even in populations currently underrepresented.
